Slieve Elva B&B To Do & See Locally

Slieve Elva Bed and Breakfast The Burren Google+

Slieve Elva Farmhouse is ideally located for touring the well known (and the less well known) attractions of this part of the West.

The Burren in North Clare is renowned for its unusual landscape and its rich and varied flora & fauna. As a result of a unique combination of factors, Artic and Alpine plants grow side by side. The distinctive landscape includes bare limestone pavements, caves, seasonal lakes and one of the most dramatic coastlines in Ireland – The Cliffs of Moher. Just 30 minutes by ferry and you can experience the beauty of The Aran Islands.

The area is also very well known for its archaeological sites, the best known monument being The Poulnabrone Dolmen. Also close by are The Aillwee Caves with the Birds of Prey demonstrations on daily.

The Burren is a walker's paradise with plenty of 'green roads' that criss-cross over the countryside. Spectacular views of the Aran Islands and the 'twelve pins' in Connemara can be enjoyed just minutes from our home.
